Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness ROM is a turn-based role-playing game written by Genius Sonority, and published by The Pokémon Company on August 4th, 2005, on the Nintendo GameCube. The game is set in the Orre region where the players assume the role of a protagonist, Michael, whose task is to prevent a sinister group, Cipher, to transform Pokémon into their so-called Shadow Pokémon. This is a new twist to the classic Pokémon formula, as the players will be forced to capture and purify the corrupted Pokémon. Gale of Darkness, with its Japanese style RPG gameplay, diagonal-down point of view, and anime-themed artwork, provides a refreshing twist on the classic Pokémon experience.

Storyline and Gameplay:
This game is the game of the Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness ROMn series that most players opt to play on the GameCube platform. This game is based on a game that is also present in the gamecube and which has been improved to make the game even better. These additions have made the game more enticing than its elder brother to win a substantial number of players to the game.
Similar to your older brother, the job the player has been assigned to do this time is to catch Shadow Pokémon to purify them. The game has up to 83 different Pokémon Pokémon for players to catch them. However, catching them is not that easy as when it comes to normal Pokemon because they all possess their own special abilities. After the player has taken them, then it is the work of the player to cleanse them to enable them to turn into ordinary people. In order to have them purified, the player should take them to the Purification Chamber and wait a few hours to complete the task. Once the job has been done, the player is able to use them to fight.
Mt. Battle is a tournament, in which players are allowed to enter and win game prizes. The competition will have 100 players each time this competition is conducted to have the aspiration to be champions. The players will be grouped into ten different groups and whoever wins will be the head of each group to move to the next round. Players will fight other leaders, and in case of victory, will be rewarded with the game.
