The change of location – space vs. Earth – was originally announced in 2015, but somewhat unexpected prior to SteamWorld Dig 2, so now it seems like a natural progression, given the events in SteamWorld Dig 2. This one is about Piper, the captain of a ship traversing the debris of a shattered planet, and a band of crew searching for companions to join them and fight scavengers, government troops and all other forces that would harm the innocent Steambots on this perilous frontier.
