Incantation ROM is an action-adventure game in the first-person shooter genre, where players are thrust into a haunted city blighted by supernatural horrors. This game is a take on the chilling story line of a great film, but made interactive. The Nintendo Switch version has the same dark theme that is seen in the PS4 version and supports two modes for the Nintendo Switch – handheld and wired, while maintaining the same level of visual fidelity and responsiveness. In a psychological thriller set to chill your blood, Incantation can be played late at night or at any time, any place, with a sinister ceremony to perform and ancient demons to be found around every corner.

In the secluded village of the Chen Family Village, Incantation ROM delves into a nightmarish world where a breath of the wind fills with fear and a flicker from a lighted lantern throws haunting shadows. The lighting in the game is soft and dim, with flickering lights and shadows creating a sense of unease and tension. Jia Jun Lee, the player, guides a player through a maze-like village strewn with abandoned houses, overgrown paths, and statues and shrines with mysterious symbols, all of which hint at the village’s dark past. The Switch version adds to this immersion with crisp visuals that are crisp whether handheld or docked, but which give the extra benefit of the OLED version’s superior contrast in exploring in low light conditions. The game’s resolution dynamically adjusts; docked mode maxes out at 1080p and features detailed textures and well-defined storytelling in the environment while handheld mode is a more consistent 720p with a focus on readability and smooth gameplay.
